Title: Clutch group buys?
Post by: DomBacon on November 08, 2013, 08:22:58 pm
A lot of people on this forum is after an uprated clutch as well as myself
I've seen a lot of people talking about clutch group buys etc. . . I've had a look around but can't find any, is there one somewhere or is someone able to start one?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks Dom.

Cheapest I've found the full helix kit thats fitted to alot of stage2+ cars is £800 posted and that's just buying 1 so if we could get 5 of us or more surely we could get it cheaper.

Why don't we start a name list just to see how many people want 1. Only add your name if you 100% want 1 ??

Crunched some numbers.

I can do:

LUK Dual mass
Helix clutch kit
Fly and cover bolts
Slave cylinder
Shipping

For £770.00

Labour to fit would usually be £240, but can drop to £200.

Would have been all over a GB and reduced fitting cost if I hadn't already asked Alex for one.  :sad1:

As long as they are in stock at Helix then a few days turn around.  Flywheels and slave cylinders are same day to me.

Might be interested too, getting stage 2 next week so it's probably safe to say I'll be needing a new clutch after.

Will add my name to the list if and when, seems like a fantastic deal on offer.

Thanks

I can do you some uprated SSP DSG clutch packs.  Around £2500 for those.  Not needed unless going over 500bhp on a DSG car.

485 shipped. The kit for the DMF is different to the kit for the SMF, but that complete kit with the SMF is 900. Slave is extra.
