Yes that is correct unless it has navigation where it has the sharkfin. I have a GTD - you will certainly like it if you buy :)

Ah right I did wonder if that was the case... I have left a deposit on it ...  should be picking it up tomorrow afternoon so just checking I haven't missed anything  :happy2: Just need to go and take my RNS 510 out the MK5... first job is to install it.

Much easier to change in the mk6 than the mk5. Found that out when fitting the Bluetooth - just the plastic trim around the outside of the stereo and then screws

Mine is a 2010 too buy just missed out on the led rear lights so that is the second change for early next year

Mine is a Oct 2010 with LED rear lights.. they do look nice, No leather though but it does have the electronic damper settings and DSG so I will forgive it.

I see what you mean about the head unit ... just had a look on you tube it does look a lot less hassle to change.

I don't have leather either, but didn't want it so all well there, plus Heated seats which are rather nice at the moment  :signLOL:

I also have the electronic suspension - very clever bit of kit, it's super in comfort mode on long motorway journeys, super soft even on 18s, and the DSG is just superb, apart from the odd kick down when flooring, but I'll forgive it, having been a manual man I am somewhat converted

My Mk5 is a DSG so converted a couple of years ago, The only thing I cant get used to are the paddle changers... my brain just says move your left arm to change gear  but so impressed with the DSG.  I am getting on a bit now so it could be a middle age thing

I assume the dampers are part of the comfort pack ?

My 2006 MK5 GTI doesn't have a roof aerial either, was before VW's cost cutting exercise on the MK5. It's built into the rear window as far as I know

Thanks for the info, I have a 2008 Mk5 GTI and that has a roof aerial... never even noticed that some do not have them to be honest, summat new every day

Back to diesel for me, Enjoyed the GTI though, Having had a MK4 150 Pd for 8 years I miss the torque and mid band grunt of a diesel... Plus the fuel economy  :happy2:

Lol took me a while but most of the time I leave it in auto :)

Not part of the comfort pack, the ACC was a £765 option  :surprised: no comfort pack in the mk6 but there is the convenience pack and lux pack. I bought a mk6 2010 price list before I got mine to work out all the extras there were
