What wheels do you all prefer/ reccomend?
-
There is a massive wheel thread as a sticky at the top of this page
-
Yeah I know but I'm after more show look wheels than normal day use.
-
What's your budget?
-
I don't wanna say incase people think I'm trying to act big time, but it's a lot dude.
-
Money no object, about £4.5k just for the wheels, I'd have these in 19" x 8.5" all round. Only weigh 7.9kg too (might require a touch of body and hub work though)...

That's the same price as the wheels I was looking at, but wanted some other options before.
They're nice but more of a tuning wheel I'd say
-
What are the wheels for? show or go? What size?
-
Mmmmmm center bolts!
-
Show and 19" ideally
-
These wheels are beautiful, GLWTS :happy2:
wish i had the spare cash kicking about.
I smell *****
-
I've got money for next seasons wheels so it's not really spare cash is it. Haha
-
Helios are always good and ALWAYS look the nuts.
Some I've looked at getting recently.19"x8.5" VMR 701's or VMR 703's in either the awesome Sunken Treasure or Bronze Burst.
A tease....

:congrats:
Not usually a fan of this style of wheel.. but that picture makes me want to take a sledgehammer to my Golf
-
They are incredible, seller keeps pushing me to buy them :booty:
-
And you're not buying them.. why? :signLOL:
-
Most I've ever spent on wheels was £2k, even then I was a little on edge :scared:
-
I've already had a set of hellios dude and the bronze colour looks
Mental
And which rotiforms are they? I'm trying to decide between lhr, tmb, ind-t and sjc.
Those wheels are nice but I personally think there's better for the money.
-
All depends what your after I guess, those are German engineered Porsche centre lock wheels. Lots of lads think it's cool buying overpriced Rotiforms that are made in a China, each to their own I guess :chicken:
-
That why I wanted suggestion as it'll be my third set of rotiforms.
The wheels they make are really nice, and it's hard to find something to top that.
You can design a wheel so I may do that, but I'm not the most creative drawer
-
I think Autostrada Monzas are one of the best wheels on a MK5.

Stunning!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
Its a lot but your getting a lot for the money. If I was allowed ANYWHERE near the family savings I'd have those in a heartbeat, good job my wife's in charge off drip feeding me my modding allowance!
-
They're nice wheels tbf.
I'll have to sort something asap so they get made in time
-
Not saying there's anything wrong with this 'scene', each to his own and all that but it's lost on me! :rolleye:.
For my £5k I would be doing brakes, OZ Ultra's and a coil over kit. Hopefully there'd be a bit left over too.
We're not all the same and it's a better place for it, I can see that. :happy2:
-
Everyone's untitled to their opinion
I love the scene. I've already done brakes and air suspension.

Yeah that's it and your right! We have to be respect to these wives. Luckily my wife is very respectful and interested in the cars too, I'm allowed to mod her JCW Mini when it arrives in the new year :innocent:
-
I'm gonna have to get the expensive spending out the way before I get married :booty:
-
I'm gonna have to get the expensive spending out the way before I get married :booty:
I'm still doing it whilst I'm married & saving for a house :stupid:
-
You must be earning to do that haha
-
You must be earning to do that haha
Work Hard Play Hard
-
I'm pretty keen on twist type wheels,
Like rotiform tmb's, Mercedes alphards and have a set of porsche twist splits for next year :)
-
3 great wheels listed there. I'm contemplating getting the new rotiform tmb concave with a lip
-
Seems like you have a lot of choice. Everybody's opinions are different so as long as you like what ever you choose then so be it.
-
dymag wheels
-
It's the hardest decision for me to make.
But that comment is true. What are dymag wheels?
-
Google dymag carbon fibre car wheels
-
I remember reading somewhere that some of the dymag's weight 2.5kg each, bonkers. :surprised:
-
2.5 kg? :scared:
