Title: what car for 5k

to cut a long story short guys,  car may be going and getting replaced by organised bricks and tiles (a house)

so i have 5k to play with to put me on while my pennys settle and i know what i can afford.

so what can this 5k get me? im not too fussed on the badge but i am tempted by an mk4 R32 or mk4 anni.  what else can you guys suggest for this price range, fuel doesnt matter too much as i work 4 miles from home.

Yip if I had 5k and wanted something modern ish with a bit of status I'd get an r32 to !
Or an e36 M3 ?

I was about to suggest the Mazda 3 MPS (2007/2008 plate) but they are just out of your budget (around £6.2k ish)

The MPS are a quick motor from the stable - the MPS saloon versions can be had for £4-£5k 260bhp and 4WD.  But they have high tax bracket iirc.
