Title: Couple of vag related questions.

I got a couple of customers that I need some info on their cars so I can tell them what needs doing. First one a 2011 VW amerok got a crappy normal radio and he wants the touch screen one fitting. Genuine Vw one. Will it need vagcom to make it work properly or is it a plug and play job? Next question a polish guy with a 2 year old golf 1.4tsi left hand drive is registering it in this country. The rear fog light, apparently Vw said it needs and new rear light and wireing?? Also after fitting that will it need vag com to tell it the fog light is on the other side?? Any help welcome ta.

Yes will be plug and play, unless the radio going in I.e rcd510 has had the rear view camera, it will need turning off or it'll go blank every time he puts it in reverse.

Has for the golf, it will need coding to right hand drive but I would think the wiring is there.

As Darren said radio will be plug and play

wiring will need to be changed for the foglight / reverse
No need to change the whole loom, slight modification should sort it easy enough
