Title: Looking for a good GTI MK 5 Edition 30 - or Mark 6 - DSG
Post by: Dibble on November 19, 2013, 04:57:49 pm
Afternoon,

I'm looking for a well looked after unmolested Edition 30, am I asking too much ?

I want the following:

DSG
3 Door
Nav
Bluetooth
MFSW
Original Alloys

Ideally with less than 50,000 miles and with impeccable history including belts, DSG oil change etc.

I have one in my sights but it appears to be the most expensive Edition 30 in the country and seller not budging, its almost Mk 6 money so that causes a dilemma.

Any advice ?

Any places i should expect to look that I'm not ? Have been all over the classifieds here, AT, PH, Ebay .....

Anyone looking to sell theirs ??

Based in London & Reading.

Cheers in advance.

If I were you I would be looking at Dawains (GTI-Mad) Ed30.

It's a 5-door mind but I think has most of what you are after.

Thanks for the replies guys, and yes I saw the 5 door and thats the kind of looking after I want but at this stage am still really only looking for a 3 door.

In regards the DSG, afraid so as an artificial left kneecap and GTI driving position means a manual is a no no for me :(

Well you're in the right place to find a well cared for example, just a question of time I'm sure!

I wouldn't worry too much about a candidate vehicle having some mods, depends what they are. Genuine mechanical improvements over stock specification wouldn't necessarily concern me, particulalry if they've not been carried out with restrictive budgets and are supported by invoices for parts and labour from a well known agent.

Good luck.  :happy2:
