Title: MDI - Part numbers and KW ( Calendar Week ) confusion
Post by: darrenchambers on November 22, 2013, 01:39:07 pm
Hi all, an odd question for those in the know.

I believe that KW on VW parts means Kalenderwoche or Calendar Week in English.

What confuses me is that I just bought a 'brand new' MDI kit exterior part: 5N0035348A interior MDI 5N0035342E SW:0240 HW: H13 and yet the KW is 22/11 which means manufactured in 2011.
I've seen other units with lower 5N0 numbering but with later manufacturing dates.

Did I just buy old tech ?

Have I got this wrong ?

Cheers,
Darren

Doesn't mean that it was manufactured in 2011.
Means the software was in production from week 22/2011.

Figured it out from this thread:
