I work for openreach in london, the 5 hour slots are ridiculous, even we complain about them, i don't see whats difficult about a 1-2 hour slot?! I assume you've already had your appt, hope he turned up on time :P

I work for Openreach (although not Southampton) Openreach are not able to pull in any favours due to SKY being your service provider...
Unfortunately if your not in when the engineer arrives your job will be put back until you can be.

Guys working for open reach, do you have access to see when jobs in other areas are due to be done? I.e I'm awaiting a new cabinet install near my house for fiber to get supplied...service providers recon 2014 lol just wondering if there's a estimated date next to it.

No mate,we can only see what you can see via the BT website,unless we are directly involved in the supply or planning of Infinity.(Which im not)

No mate,we can only see what you can see via the BT website,unless we are directly involved in the supply or planning of Infinity.(Which im not)
Agreed, unless you know any fibre network planners or someone to do with the rollout in your area, it's just a case of waiting. The DSLAM (fibre cab) near my house was delayed by 2 years after the initial planned install date! So even 2014 may be optimistic! :P

We get virgin staff prices too because cpw are a reseller. But alas 8mb ads list the best I can do. Even emailed virgins cable my street, they came out and decided wasn't worth their time lol.
