Title: Broken Puddle Light
Post by: joe1992w on November 26, 2013, 03:00:02 pm
Hi,

Since I bought my 2004 GT Tdi 140 a couple of months ago the drivers side puddle light has never worked.

I've finally gotten around to ordering a replacement LED pair and just fitted them. The passenger's side works perfectly as before, but also as before the drivers side is not working. I had presumed that the fault was going to be the bulb but I guess not. While i was fitting the replacements I noticed that there were a couple of nicks in the insulation on one of the wires but nothing major.

Are these nicks in the cables insulation likely to be the cause of the problem?

Will some electrical tape do the job or is there something else I should try?

Thanks, any help is much appreciated.

Joe

could be a broken wire. Easiest way to tell is to whip out the multimeter :)
