The car seems to make a whirring sound when driving above 60mph. Nobody else notices it but since im always in the car i can definitely hear it. Any idea what it could be? I had the cam follower changed few months ago dunno if that makes a difference??

Cheap Tyres?
-
does the noise increase with speed? if yes could be a wheel bearing on its way out
-
No not cheap tyres ps2's on back continental contisports on fronts. Hmm is it something that needs changing asap the wheel bearing?
-
Rear tyres are common problem - saw tooth problem - tyres develop flat spots.
If it's not that then I would look at the wheel bearings.
-
I would change it as soon as reasonably practical as it will only get worse.

Its a relatively easy job the rear bearing and is only about £90 from eurocarprats
