Title: Whirring sound at high speed?!
Post by: bushypad on November 26, 2013, 03:01:04 pm
The car seems to make a whirring sound when driving above 60mph. Nobody else notices it but since im always in the car i can definitely hear it. Any idea what it could be? I had the cam follower changed few months ago dunno if that makes a difference??

does the noise increase with speed? if yes could be a wheel bearing on its way out

Rear tyres are common problem - saw tooth problem - tyres develop flat spots.

If it's not that then I would look at the wheel bearings.

I would change it as soon as reasonably practical as it will only get worse.
