OK...I did it! I installed my new DM K04+ tune.
These are the first data log graphs...I will be working on another version of more aggressive torque and then a race fuel version of each tune. Then a trip to the RR/Dynojet :happy2: Also, vids to come of it at the track

Looks good, how does it feel to drive?
I was very tempted but the postage/customs costs put it in the Revo/APR Christmas offer price range..... So I went for Unicorn lol.
-
It is noticeably stronger pulling and power comes on much more instantly and remains throughout the revs. I have to run logs tomorrow to check how it is having done a regap of the plugs. The popping is gone and no longer triggers a misfire CEL. I will continue to update :happy2:
-
Today's boost log with new plug gap...

Added my last GIAC HO K04 graph for comparison...

Looking good. :happy2:
Any dyno results due?
-
Someone else is going to nearby PSI on Monday to do it. His is already tuned well, but he has the F23T, DM tune, APR hpfp, stock injectors and WMI. http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3668608&postcount=1
I still need to get the O2 patch written into this version. Then I'll receive a more aggressive torque tune. And finally a tune for each torque version for race fuel. I will likely get over and put it on the dyno when I have both versions and they are running well so I can do a pull with each of the tunes. I will share the other Local DM Dubbers results after he gets his posted. I am also going to splice a 0 to 120 mph vid of the new tune beside the last giac vid I made a week ago > &feature=youtu.be
-
Does this map require you use the R boost sensor?
-
Yes
-
Hurdy...that guy put down 350 WHP today on a DynoJet. F23T, DM tune, APR hpfp, stock GTI injectors and WMI
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1205.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb434%2Frohecht%2Fdumb%2520forum%2520stuff%2FScreenshot44.png&hash=414355fb616d027e3d1404eb1a7af51e8d7fa9ae) (http://s1205.photobucket.com/user/rohecht/media/dumb%20forum%20stuff/Screenshot44.png.html)
Wait, that one was uncorrected...

I cannot wait to put down some new roller numbers...but then again...I don't want to be disappointed either
-
Last time I was on a Dynojet was before the L0400 was on. I made 392bhp, which is also around 350whp. However due to running WMI the peak torque was 462lbft!!
I need to go back and see what I am running now! :happy2:
-
Looking at those figures I'd guess you have gained a good 15-20bhp. :driver:
-
You have great numbers :happy2:
He has stock injectors and I hope my 'K04, APR hpfp, S3 injectors and TTRS LPFP' equal his 'F23T, APR hpfp, stock injectors and WMI', but I really do not expect more than 325 WHP...but from 280 WHP, I'll take it :happy2:
When he adds some S3 injectors... :rolleye:
Your L04XX should be equal to, if not better than, his F23T. A tuner told me they prefer the L04XX when tuning...that the quality was much nicer.
-
Stock K03 injectors?
-
Yes! I know! Right?
-
Yes! I know! Right?
Must be running big fuel pressure to run that type of power!
-
I haven't had a look at his fuel data...I do know mine is set to run higher pressures from both pumps. I have seen that the F23T with stock K03 injectors gives more power than I had before the new tune...310 to 315ish WheelHP. So, he has 25 to 30WHP more, the addition of WMI, and the DM tune over my old 285 WheelHP.
-
I had to replace my coils as they were all going bad over the past week at 103k miles.
New graphs from yesterday...
Boost....

I'm pretty sure his hpfp pressure is set at 130bar, as are all the K04+ tunes by DM, but since he has stock injectors and the F23T it may differ...AFAIK
My hpfp specified is 142.5bar.
-
What pressure release valve are you using, a 145bar one?
-
Yep...the RS4 fprv.
-
Yep...the RS4 fprv.
I'm confused now as the RS4 one cracks at 136 bar but your graphs show rail pressure of over 140 bar at the top end.
-
You are correct. I am in the process of getting an answer myself.
The rail actually reached:
151.39
148.24
151.62
147.69
152.57
149.84 bar from 6500 to 6900rpm. I know DM set my rail pressure request at 142.5bar and he said the fprv would hold...so?
I'll get back with the answer when I get one :happy2:
-
With that sort of rail pressure I would look very carefully at your cam follower as I suspect it's likely to now wear more quickly...
-
I do check it every 5k miles already and have been replacing it every 10k with it looking like this:
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1205.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb434%2Frohecht%2F5k10kcf004.jpg&hash=e3d7b9912e21fa2f8e42c716afb5c5cb3465b2cb) (http://s1205.photobucket.com/user/rohecht/media/5k10kcf004.jpg.html)
-
FPRV info:
It begins to crack anywhere from 136-144 bar
But just because it cracks doesn't mean it's going to dump all of the fuel.
The spring is only depressing like 5% at that point and there is a minimal difference.
-
I replaced all 4 coils and it runs sooo good now....even better. :happy2: Will have more when it dries up around here.
-
I now have the race fuel tune and I will have more to report along with a vid real soon :happy2:
-
New 0 to 120 mph vid of the DM K04+ Tune in 13.3 seconds:
-
Impressive numbers and nice vid.
-
:happy2:
-
Good video. Shows that it picks up nicly higher up the range too.
Reminds me that I need to do one with mine.
-
Very good mate,what's traction like?
-
Looks good, do you have any AFR logs?
-

Let us know when you do...I'm in for a view ;)
-
Very good mate,what's traction like?
I lost it a bit at the end of second gear in the vid, but yeah,it has to be dealt with.
Watch the tach in the vid and you'll see I come out of 1st and 2nd a bit before redline and that was to stop wheel spin only.
-
Looks good, do you have any AFR logs?
I believe I have the data...I will graph one up.
