Hello All

Ive been joined up here for a while now but never posted. I'm from the Warrington area in the NW

I have been looking for a 5 dr ed30 or Pirelli with sub 30k miles for a while now and have had little luck  :sad1:

Anyway I'll keep looking and hopefully be able to comment and help out in some posts in the future  :happy2:

Hi
I don't think there are many sub 30k pir-ed30's about now,why does it have to be under 30k?
But good luck with the search :happy2:

My Pirelli has 36k on it now and has generally been sparingly used since new. I have now taken the view that as it is 5 years old I may as well start slinging the miles on it as it has lost most of its value already and it is only a golf !!

Good luck with the search you will not be disappointed in either car. You may want to consider a newer mk6 though

I picked up my 5 door Edition 30 a month ago from a SEAT dealer in Crewe... Had 30k miles on it too. There are some about but very few at that mileage and especially if fussy about doors and specs.

Just keep checking auto trader. But I agree it's worth upping your mileage requirements as you are missing out on driving a n amazing car by holding off for the sake of 10k miles

You might or might not have seen the following, but here's one that's very close to 30k!;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-08-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-2-0-T-FSI-EDITION-30-RED-5-DOOR-/111179121938?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19e2cac512

Cat D but low miles;

And if you'd go for a 3-dr, here's one that has 15k on the clocks;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-EDITION30-330-BHP-DSG-/171183612144?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27db56a0f0

They are out there, but be prepared to pay more & travel a long way! Went to Cardiff to get mine - 47k, although the Pirelli I tried at VW in Oxford was lower mileage (32k), but fewer options and the dealer wouldn't budge on price (although a week later they dropped the price by £1k - jokers!).

Good luck with your search!

Thanks for the help chaps and thanks for taking the time to post up the links too  :happy2:

I'm scouring the usual places many times a day - AT, PH, Ebay and this forum so hopefully the right one will turn up.

Ideally I'm after one that has not been dicked about with too much and deffo not one on the list.

I'm kind of realising that I may have to wait a wee while for one to crop up.

I missed a cracker on AT a month or so ago; an old chap was selling his. IIRC it had about 15k miles and owned from new

Hello fella,

I have recently purchased a very clean Pirelli with 36k on the clock, 2 former owners garage+garage mechanic or salesman, it's a Black 3 door DSG, SATNAV RNS510, cruise control, just purchased some custom seat covers, paddle extensions,daybreaker unlimiteds as well,it has a Bluefin Stage1 just put on it, otherwise it's standard,just had cambelt and waterpump changed as a precaution,n I'm just about to get the DSG oil changed, i paid 13.5k just over 6 weeks ago for it and am thinking of selling as I have just got a job working in Spain, nothing wrong with the car at all just a mistimed purchased :( it also has a years warranty on it.
I don't thrash it from cold or warm come to that,licence wouldn't last long :) ,always warm it up and do motor miles to work and I also have VCDS to check out anything on it,+ brodit phone mount for nokia lumia and desire HD for Torque app for turbo boost

So if anyone is looking for a nice clean car, let me know, you may get a bargain :)
forgot to say I also upgraded the DV on it to Rev G (piston type) from awesome
