Title: The Death Star (jetta 2.0tfsi) **NOT A HAPPY BUNNY**
Post by: Lewis86 on November 30, 2013, 10:42:03 am
Well thought id add photos of the jetta before i get too carried away and she completely looks amazing ha ha ha

2.0 tfsi but with a 100000 miles on the clock (ex rep car with only 1 owner from new) so has full service history.
It does have a few paint work issues that need to be addressed after all them motorway miles theres a chipping on the door and a terrible attempt at covering a scratch on the rear quarter!

so far all ive done is change the grill and add a vortex splitter, oh and a neuspeed induction kit.

other then that shes completely standard

Finally some pictures Lewis.

Black looks good on a Jetta, I also like the way you are slowly removing the chrome  :happy2:

What other plans do you have for it?

Thats a long list so close to Xmas
Be careful of the R-line grills as they don't really fit the Jetta bumper, the outer corners are too curved!! Polo tried fitting them to his bumper  :scared:
Can only be jealous that you are fitting air, would love to be riding on air but life just don't let me  :signLOL:
SL55 alloys will look  as do the depo with HID's
Vortex splitter looks great, will the skirts be smoothed?
Great progress in such a short time and I think you got the expensive mod's out of the way  :happy2:

Keep up the pictures

I got the air off a lad off here he'd only had it on two months, that was £2600 then £500 off Airtechnik for plumbing an wiring boot build and notch so I can't complain lol no I ant been since aug/sep time ha ha

unfortunatly rebuilding my e50's is another expensive one
Whats next, well last week I was looking at DAB and purchased an RCD310Dab but then I got offered GT/Sport interior at a price I could not refuse (been sat on SE seats too long)
Then last night I found a set of Charleston alloys that were a bargain, I need to collect them from S Wales. I will probably have the RCD310Dab, front seat draws/SE seats and my VZ's for sale soon (maybe, it depends if the wife notices)
Sneak in a picture of your e50!

I got the air off a lad off here he'd only had it on two months, that was £2600 then £500 off Airtechnik for plumbing an wiring boot build and notch so I can't complain lol no I ant been since aug/sep time ha ha
This is what puts me off fitting air to my car coz thats what i think it's value is, i am still happy with the ride and height of my B12.

Get plenty of pictures up when you get it back  :happy2: :happy2:

I'm clueless as of what to do interior wise, I've not even started to think although ford rs seats wouldn't go a miss ha ha

I see where your coming from with the air but if I can't get the asking price of the jetta when it comes to sale time I'd more then Likely strip it back to oem and put it all on an r32

I will do my best this weekend when I get back home to get a ton of pics up, and ok il sly some Bbs love in there

I got mine done in sections not all at once, i think the company i used charge around £350 for a stainless system it was done by topgear performance in Doncaster, top lads who work there.

Yes mate.........there a fuxkinn pain in the arse!! Ive been looking on some yank sights an they all use 43mm bolts but I've order 35mm! An it's going in for new tyres camber and tracking done tomorrow so I'm hoping they have some or know where to get some! And now my new hid kits stopped working altogether on the passenger side! Grrrrr getting annoyed gentlemen

R-line grills are a waste of time - they only fit the mk5 GTi bumper - outer corners don't fill the gap.

Jetta looks amazing!! Did you bin the ARB??

Eyup polo, cheers mate! No I dint get rid of the arb mate I've got the performance set up so it has extendable drop links attached :) and I trust your judgement on the r-line fogs but I've got to try to get them to fit first mate! Besides at least ya can turn round now and say I told you so ha ha

Your not having much luck lately Lewis. Good luck with trying to make the R-line grills to fit  :signLOL:

How did the camber and tracking go?
Are you keeping the chrome around the windows?

No mate I'm not  :signLOL: the front left suspension is knocking now aswel so the boys at Airtechnik have been out to have a look, we spent 2 hours taking things apart but with no trophy at the end so it's going back to them next week  :sad1: so over Christmas leave il be trying to fit the r-lines and finally get some decent photos out up!

The camber upfront was a nightmare an is a degree out on one side but they did there up most an spent several hours trying! Il get the print out put up at some point!

Little update is I ordered some flee bay led bulbs for the rear number plate and I'm going to de-name the boot but might leave the jetta name on?!

nice work youve done there mate. what are the specs on the wheels? i like the look of the rotiform ind but i dont really want 19s. and those amg look very similar.
and top job on the air ride, i keep thinking it over but im a static man at heart. haha

Cheers matey! Welcome along! The wheels are 18x8.5 et41 fair bit of poke but when you slam it they tuck pretty nice, but I've just noticed that the inner arch has scratched an transferred paint so I'm going to have to have the arches pulled an wheels refurbed at some point! An this is my first setup on air an I wouldn't look back (I've "always" been a staric man) the diversity of air is amazing and so is the handling

Did you have e-level management?
if so i turned off the active ride height monitoring stuff and just stick to my presets... always goes to the height i set that way rather than trying to use the active loadings which can sometimes confuse it

sorted the knocking out? check top mounts.
