Title: Weird noise in 5th gear (TDI)

Ok so I noticed a new noise today... YES ANOTHER!
 
Anyway when I'm in 5th doing doing under 55mph as I accelerate I get a metallic sound like a heatshield kind of rattle (Pretty sure its nothing like that though). It sounds as something is spinning around and rubbing.  Goes away at around 55mph and only does it in 5th gear. 
 
I've just had the Clutch and flywheel changed but it was fine until today.  Anyone have any idea?  Not sure if it coming from the engine or the gearbox as I was finding it hard to listen closely while driving. This car is really starting to do my head in! :(

i just had my flywheel changed to a solid one and mine does this aswell but in all the gears around 1100rpm when accelerating

Ohh right! I'm just wondering cause it was fine for around 600 miles after I had it fitted.  Hopefully it's nothing  :smiley:

I had a weird noise with that flywheel ever since it was put in, around 2000rpm under semi-high load in lower gear. However I don't think it's anything related to that.

Don't give up on it mate - Don't forget I'll be up with you for a few days end of the month so at the worst, we can look at it then  :love:

I went out for a drive and it was actually a bit quieter. I'll try it again tonight and see what it's like. Hopefully the issue will just vanish!
