Just seen this on ebay

apparently it a 'limited edition' with a top speed of 180.
Genuine or a load of bollocks?

He's modded it... And I doubt a 300bhp GTI could reach a TRUE 180mph... Stage 2+ might though.

My favourite parts are:

...Top Speed of 180, which i riched!
Faster than M3, TT's, Evo's and a lot more. 0-60MPH in probably 4.9-5.3 second.

For what it's worth I had an indicated 174mph out of my stage 1 ed30 on the autobahn between the nurburgring and trier and I'm confident it would have eventually run onto an indicated 180 given enough room and not having to slow for traffic, obviously nowhere near a 'true' GPS verified 180mph but quick enough for a family hatchback with a bootfull of Bitburger :grin:

are these cars not limited to 155mph? Ive had mine upto 163(ish) on the clocks which im guessing was the 155mph limiter?

I don't think I would use them if they charge 4x the price for a milltek unless it's made out of titanium

MTM are well known tuning company for vags...but mostly Audi I think..very expensive

Erm...yeah.
They're one of the biggest tuners of VAG cars in Gremany/Europe. http://www.mtm-online.de/en/tuning/Audi (http://www.mtm-online.de/en/tuning/Audi).
Theres an MTM tuned RS6 rolling around here with somewhere in the region of 500-600bhp.

I would walk away with the rear like that as the seller mustn't have a clue

I'd heard that quoted but from an unreliable source,so I figured that it was BS. :evilgrin:
I think the figure was 750bhp.I thought that much power would have munched the gearbox but I guess not!
Although,now that I think about it,the owner claims to have the most powerful car on this island and that very small list includes a Murcielago(sp)!

RS6 runs tip instead of DSG, along with the SQ5, both have 483ftlb stock iirc :innocent:

Am I right in thinking they've spent nearly £9.5k on that ????? And they can't even be bothered to get it cleaned properly to sell.
Seriously though if you're going to ask that price for a car I'd take a little more time and effort on your ad and at least check it for spelling mistakes!!!!

Old thread I found, wouldn't mind going to Germany to max out the Golf. :driver:
Been there and done that with the Nurburgring, done hundreds of laps, but never had a car flat out on the unrestricted autobahn on the way, other than my old mk3 GTI 8V Which was slow as sheize (115mph max!!) - it was faster down the hill at Fuchsrohre on the 'ring (120! woop)
