Post by: Scottymon on December 09, 2013, 10:20:31 am
Down to just £79 with lifetime warranty.
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&productId=862421&catalogId=10151&cm_mmc=E-Mail-_-Wk37DD9-_-Tday-_-150piece&_$ja=tsid:55653%7Ccgn:DD9%7Ckw:Sock&cm_em=voodish%40gmail.com

If I didn't already have all the bits in this set, I'd defo grab one, ESP. With the lifetime warranty in place.

It's not that much reduced.  I bought the 170 about 8 months ago for £130 they always have offers on but they have been pumping the original price up first.. They have just done it with my 4 year olds new bike. It showed £179.99 reduced to £89.99. The lad said it is reduced but was never the original price and was around £129.99. Reserved on line and got another £10 off too.

Moral of the story. It's good stuff well priced but not as discounted as they advertise. That said I have loads of their stuff and the warranty is good although sometimes you have to argue the matter when it breaks.

I was under the impression that to have something on sale, that the original RRP has to be displayed for at least 28 days, they have to predict that the item will sell at that advertised price and that a significant percentage of those RRP marked products were advertised.... all before they can offer it as a Sale item with the reduction in cost - with larger chain stores I'm sure they can wangle this to advertise full RRP in more affluent areas and then reduce the stock nationwide... meh.

I bought the 150 piece about 4 years ago for £99.99
I spoke with the manager on another work related matter soon after and he said they increase the price and redice the price regularly . He stated they only ever sell the sets when they are reduced and never when they were at the inflated price .
£79.99 is a bargain and the quality is great and the lifetime guarantee even better
