Title: Boost pressure logging in vcds?
Post by: mk4gti-t on December 09, 2013, 12:32:11 pm
Hi ive recently fitted a new south boost gauge which is reading upto a maximum of 9-10psi but im not sure how accurate that is. Is it possible to log boost levels using vcds to get a spot on reading? Also i am running a standard map i think but having had a major ecu failure and fitting a second hand unit it may not be, what are standard boost levels? Cheers  :happy2:

Generally analogue pressure gauges are more accurate than electronic/digital ones. They are also faster to react as they are in real time.

I can tell you around 9psi is correct.

It may spike to around 12-13psi and hold around 8-10psi, dropping back to 5 or 6 psi near the redline.
