I had a Golf Plus 1.6tdi bluemotion for 2 days while my ED30 was at the garage . It was brand new , virtually , it was rubbish , probably very economical but being a diesel i expected it to have some low down torque , it wouldn't accelerate under 2000rpm , had to rev it up to 3000 plus to get it to keep up with traffic !
Good luck Andy with your Bluemotion , would be good to see another post :rolleye:

:signLOL: you lot are funny.
Garrardjr it's not that slow to be honest I don't know what you are expecting for a 105 ps car it's not gonna be a 911 turbo
It's a match dsg it may sound old grandad grannies car but it's cheap on fuel and only £20 pound to tax a year
http://www.easier.com/107929-superchips-offers-vw-golf-1-6-tdi-owners-gti-style-performance.html
And sorry I don't post a lot Iam always working
-
That's the car I'll prob purchase when mine sells.
-
Good increase from the chip but lmfao at the article:
Superchips offers VW Golf 1.6 TDi owners GTi-style performance
Then goes on to say:
matching the output of the 148 bhp Mk4 Golf GTi 1.8T (1997 to 2006)
Hmmm not really anything like a GTI that model was it!!!
-
 I wouldn't get a super chips map that's for sure.
Think this car has a tri core ECU that needs removing to be mapped?
-
Yeah I have heard about the ecu
Need to call revo and find out more

Well having had a MK3 90bhp TDI from new it did not pull like that did and oddly i didn't expect it to be quick , what i said was its performance was poor in the rev range where you would expect it to be at its best :innocent:

As no one has got round to it yet, may I be the first to say: Good choice and enjoy your new car :driver:
One minor point, you've swapped an Eco Golf and your already looking to make it faster? Maybe the 2.0 TDI 140 BM may have been more suited to you?
-
The only reason I don't like the Eco versions is usually they come with longer gear ratio's which can be annoying when you're expecting it to pick up... not saying the Golf is like that but the Volvo and Ford Eco versions are; the GTI picks up better from low revs. The Fuel economy is great though! :happy2:

I didn't go to buy the tdi I went to get some parts for my gti and the dealer had very good offers on all there car I was gonna go for mk6 gti or gtd untill I was talked into to trying the 1.6 tdi for a few hours
I gave it all it had every where and was still getting 50 mpg I couldn't burn the fuel no matter what I did
And they gave me 10 grand for my gti against the tdi
It's just 1st and 2nd gear where there is no power just want a nice kick up the ass to get it going then it's fine
-
oh man! hope you have a good reason for that! :innocent:
