Title: Front headrests stuck in fully up position - help :(
Post by: Dave_TDI on December 13, 2013, 08:30:18 am
I bought my gti in may, and since then the headrests have been stuck i the fully up position, the buttons on the side dont work at all and they cant be pushed down or taken out...

Ive tried unclipping the back of the seat but theres still no access to the headrest frame, tried pulling on it as hard as i can (even with two people it didnt move)

Surely there must be a way to remove damaged headrests?

If anyone can shed any light or reccomend a place to take it to other than VW that would be massively appreciated :)

Never had this problem, but can you mimick the tab's job by using a screwdriver?

Sorry forgot to mention i tried that buddy, i pulled the button on the side of the headrest fully out (its broken anyway) and put a long screwdriver in but it did nothing :(

Im not even bothered about them moving id just rather have them fully down than fully up, the seats look ugly with the headrests up
