What does everyone reckon to it? I'll be getting it done free i'm just not 100% sure on it and if it'll affect the risiduals a significant amount.

:worthless:
-
leave it as it came from the factory .
-
:surprised:
I'm totally lost, what are we talking about here??
Rear bumper and sideskirts??
-
I'm guess the plastic body trim that's matt black on stock cars. If it's black, paint them black too. If the car's any other colour, the black trim looks quite nice.
-
If its the skirt and bumper, def colour code, I have one of my skirts done at the moment (don't ask!) and it looks soo much nicer then the cheap plastic that should be colour coded in the first place!
-
How much does it cost to get the sides and rear done roughly??

I got mine done cheaply,
Rear bumper, side skirts and front splitter for £300, sanded, primered and coded and also refitted.

Jeeez where was that at??

Though if you have a silver car then the rear bumper will be fr sale soon.

As posted by Al, with the rear diffuser look where the top and main section of the bumper is colour coded leaving the lower black bit, works really well imo. In fact in most colours I think I prefer it to the Ed30 bumper purely cause of the shape - just my preference
As for the skirts, I think they look out of place black, a bit like a stuck on kit. I purchased an Ed30 splitter anyway but colour coding the standard GTI one is neat.
I'd do it Luke. Photoshop it and see what you think

I think colour code looks much better I think that it should have been a factory option

I agree with everything you said,
I'm having my rear valance painted and the exhuast bit left black.
I also don't like GTI's with colour cocded skirts But to each their own i suppose.

....I couldn't agree more! On some body colours that rear black plastic looks like an old Ford Ka. Who cares about 'residuals'.. Your car is for you to enjoy, not the next owner.

Topman CB :happy2:
So you're leaving your skirts factory black?
The rear diffuser looks always reminds me of the 3 door A3 S-Lines and I'm a big fan of those too :driver:
-
Yeah leaving them black :happy2:
-
Colour code like the ed30, I hate factory black bare plastic, it looks well cheap.
-
COLOUR CODE FTW!
