Any help appreciated
Phone is fully charged but when it was unplugged it turns off , it will only show the front lock screen and will not find any service and continues to say "Searching"
It nevers finds any network etc
Now i have tried all reset restore things found on the internet without any change or success
Anybody got any other suggestions on what to do , the Apple Support Centre is 50 miles away and you have to book a Genius Bar appointment , so a shortcut would be fantastic

New SIM card - not he phone

So you have held the home and power button until you see the apple?
Have you backed up and factory restored the phone?

New SIM card - not he phone
How does this explain not getting past the lock screen?
-
It doesn't but I've had two SIM cards fail in iPhones and both faults resulted in strange start ups!
-
Try boot up without a sim

I had similar powering up problems with my old iPhone 4S and booking an appointment at the genius bar is worth it they was very helpful and I got a replacement within 15minutes! Hope this helps. :drinking:

I had same problem with my 4s it wouldn't turn on in end. The problem is a software issue and a 20 minute Genius Bar had me a new phone ;-)
