Title: Mid - high clocks
Post by: J12spk on December 23, 2013, 08:52:08 am
I appreciate there are lots of threads on this topic but I would like some info specific to my car please. I have a 2005 1.9tdi sport and I would like to upgrade to highline clocks. I have cruise control and the usual options on the end of my wiper stalk. NO MFSW though. I am located near Southampton and have no access to vag com or any knowledge and experience in this sort of work!  :sad1: you wisdom would be most useful!

I'd rather not put gti petrol clocks in either

Ps, as much as Eddie sounds amazing and the work he does is 1st class  :congrats: a drive up north is not really an option!

Thanks in advance!

I had to send mine from Ireland to Hemel Hempstead because so few people can do the upgrade....totally worth it !!!!
You could just use your local vw dealer at a much greater cost

The tools are £1,500.00 so it's not a practice option and the EBay ones don't work.

500 mile round trip for me to see Ed and as Joe says "It was totally worth it".
As for our local dealer, if it's not new and bought from them,no chance of them thinking about it!

I have DIY'd a few sets but they need to be ending 0/1/2 in part numbers on both sets.

I have read immo data before for guys who emailed it to Eddie-NL or Kalu, then posted off the new clocks so the car doesn't need to go offroad for a few days.
Consider that, either of them will sort you out.

If I can get more people interested in work down south I would consider coming down

Get the right clocks first as there is far too many options. Get the vw part no. for highline clusters. Then the immo code of the clocks and im sure I have seen the procedure on ross tech webpage.

If your  clocks end in 962  then change the middle number to 972 will be the one you need - would be easiest

It will be nearly a £100 on fuel

So I would need to cover that and make some money too

I have a set of highlines I need fitted so would defiantly be on the list.

Think pehaps we should start a new thread to generate more interest say 'Eddie-NL Southampton / south coast visit' to draw more interest and more appropriate title?

You fancy starting this then? Name and job they won't doing? If we could get 10 people down here pay £15 fuel each to Eddie plus obviously cost of the job he's doing?
