Title: Skiing / Snowboarding - Which Resort?
Post by: George on December 26, 2013, 01:39:14 pm
Hi all,

Looking to book a trip for early Jan for myself (intermediate skier), an intermediate snowboarder and a beginner snowboarder.

Where have you guys been? Our budget is around £700 for flights, HB accommodation and transfers

Thanks!  :happy2:

I am VERY much a beginner, not been to any in Europe but i have in Canada. Blackcombe in British Columbia and Canmore just outside Baniff, Alberta are my favourites :)

For that budget Les Arc's or La Plagne would be good options.

Plenty of runs and a decent mix of difficulty.

Or Tignes maybe.

For £700 you should be able to get a Catered Chalet and lift pass easy.

Stick to the smaller resorts really, otherwise you will end up paying lots for an area that the rookie boarder wont really be able to enjoy.

Anyone else try to go to Chill Factore today!?  Feck me, gave up after an hour of queue waiting, the roads around Manchester were another world of crap.

On a bizarre different note, we saw a man running down the M56, towards traffic in the outside lane on the way back - pitch black, we had to swerve to avoid him! :scared:

That'll be why the 'pedestrians in road' was flashing on the matrix boards whilst I was trying to get home then!  :stupid:
