Title: DAB stopped working on my rcd510??
Post by: Gman30 on December 26, 2013, 05:57:27 pm
Hi Guys,

My DAB has suddenly stopped working on my RCD510.

I installed it a couple of months back and have had no issues..

Switched it on a couple of days ago and it just says 'no ensemble' below the station name and the no signal symbol.

I've checked the connection on the back and reset the station list.

Any idea's anyone? I've heard on here there's hidden muenu's that can be accessed.. Is this correct? How do you access them?

Thanks in advance!!

Sorry it's not a direct answer to your question; how did you install your DAB RCD510? Did you go the proper VW route with the aerial etc of just buy a windscreen aerial? SMB?

There are hidden menus, more so on the RNS510. Hopefully someone will be along to help you. :-)

I used the 'Kinetic' Arial from http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk -very helpful!

They can supply the adapters and everything you'll need.

Buy a few spare clips for pillar trims too as the headlining will need to be dropped!

Yea it turned out to be the aerial at fault after alot of mucking around! The above where I bought it are saying I didn't use enough grease so my warranty is void! V angry as I used plenty of special grease that is designed for such applications! It was only on car 2 months!
