Title: Head light advice . After something bright and cheap lol
Post by: woodzrs on December 26, 2013, 11:15:05 pm
Finally got myself another mkv , a gt tdi with a few mods , but one thing it lacks is xenons . It's just big standard lights and really looks poo.

I'm gonna get done led sidelights , but what can I do about main headlight ? And decent led white light looking bulbs ? It hid kits that people recommend ? I don't want thst blue look , and can't afford xenons at mo what with Xmas etc

Do not put a HID in that type of headlight they are not designed for it and will blind other people and produce a crap beam pattern.
There are plenty of uprated Halogen bulbs from Phillips, Osram and the like which will do what you want. Look at some bulb tests and take your choice really!  :popcornsoda:

Cool , I remember there's a thread about changing all the lights to better bulbs and led so will have a hunt for it

Off the back of some good reviews, and an excellent offer from Euro Car parts I've ordered some Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited for my gti.

Hoping they should do a good job, although not unimpressed with the standard output really!

Excellent choice  I have the nightbreaker+ in my projectors and there great
Never been tempted by xenons as the cost of doing it properly is crazy
I did see the + ones for £14 Cant remember where :signLOL:
EDIT  Amazon have the + and unlimited really cheap
