Title: Aux Input from rcd300 to rcd510
Post by: arris on December 30, 2013, 09:33:11 am
Right, when i got my car it had a rcd300 fitted, with a headphone jack in the glove box for the stereo.

Since then i fitted a rcd510, and when fitting didnt pay much attention to the aux input but now it doesnt work.

Will it be a simple thing i have missed or wont it work with the new stereo? Only reason i ask is going on a roadtrip tomorrow, so be handy if my mates could plug there phone in to keep them happy  :signLOL:

According to this you might have this issue because VW switched some pins when transcending from premium 7 (RCD300) to premium 8 (RCD510) radios.

OR, it might just be a case of something not being plugged in properly?

Does your CD changer have a clear sound?
