Title: Safari on Mac help.

Please help a stupid person. I have about a hundred bookmarks and since i downloaded OS X, 10.9.1 all the site icons just show a blue ball making it tiresome and difficult trying to find the site i am after. Once i have visited a site the icon shows correctly but i would like the site icon on show all the time. when i first downloaded the new op system all icons were showing.
How do i have them showing all the time?.
