Title: Yahoo Email on Windows Live Problem
Post by: garrardrj on January 07, 2014, 11:30:01 am
Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo.co (xxxxxxx) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10060

Now i cannot get email since yesterday , can't send or receive and all the Google search ideas have been tried !
I have not done anything different or changed any passwords etc
I can get my yahoo mail on my iphone fine

So any other suggestions appreciated

Read this somewhere

If it's .com

Try changing it to .co.uk

Well it was working ok a few days ago so shouldn't think anything has changed over the last few days from Yahoo's point of view and they would have told users too

Update ---- Changed my smtp and pop settings to  .com and i can receive mails but cannot send them from the yahoo account ? Anyone ?

Go to a PC and log in at yahoo.co.uk.

This happens on a regular basis without regular log ins online. Only for some accounts weirdly?

It is sorted out now by what Doylebros said above

I had done this before and it hadn't worked , or so i thought , the other email address i was sending the test messages to was putting them in the spam folder and they were not being forwarded to my windows live mail !

Hopefully this thread might help someone else with the same problem as looking on the internet there are alot of people moaning about yahoo  , so i'll leave it here
