Hey guys,
Have a slight problem when I leave my car idle for a bit when it has either been wet or I just haven't used it for a day or so.
The problem is that the brakes at the rear seem to bang loudly like they are stuck when I move off for the first time.. Like they have molded? (Bonded is what i was looking for! lol) themselves to the disc, then when I set off they bang. It's also happened one at a time too one after the other when pulling off slowly.
After the car has been idle is the only time this happens. The brakes and pads are new, is this going to cause problems or do I just need to wait until they wear down a little?
Thanks.

Common problem nothing to worry about if the brakes have been damp.

Awesome, many thanks, I have just never heard it before.
On any other car I mean.

Standard problem on Vauxhall rears shoes or pads!
-
Mine does the same. I presume the pad gets stuck to the disc.

Cold weather probably doesn't help..

Sounds like it does just that. It freaked me out as I couldn't move off at one point, thought I had left the handbrake on.. Hasn't been like that since though which is good, just small bangs every now and then.

Yeah mine does it too, especially noticeable if left for a few days... Soon sorts itself after a couple of brakes though.

Thanks for the piece of mind guys :)
