After abit of info of what these are like on a day to day basis.
I am thinking of selling my MK5 GTI for something cheaper to run like a diesel as I have just bought my first house. However I have the chance to buy a CLS 320cdi very cheap.
I wanted to know what are these like on a day to day basis, they look extremely long so does parking become a pain? what is the real world fuel consumption? My GTI gets 28mpg average so Im hoping the CLS gets more?
I`m only 24 so a CLS is bit against the grain for someone my age

Cool car, its nice to have a change from the heard... I seem to frit from hot hatch to grandad cars and back.

Depends how much money you can save selling the Golf?
It's a bit Grandad for a 24 year old but will probably waft you along nicely. The combined cycle is allegedly 37 mpg and the Golf is 35 mpg...there won't be a fuel saving and servicing isn't going to be cheap.

In its current state they are abit old man but with an AMG kit and nice wheels I think it will look abit cooler? lol
My golf now I rarely get over 28mpg mainly because of the type of car it is and the way the map is set up I find it hard to drive slow.
As a family member is trading their CLS in I thought its an easy deal for me without putting more money into a new car I want

They are quite a firm ride, and certainly don't 'waft' about like some of the bigger mercs. I like them though :happy2:

Firm ride I can live with, my GTI has cheap ebay special coilovers so im not used to comfort!
