Hello lads.
Me and my wife have been thinking of getting a S3 around 11plate, so that means we'll sell both are cars as I don't really want to get it all of it on tick.
Sell both cars mine being a gt sport 140 and hers being the a3 dsg 170 which the stealer has offered us £9500 for hers which I thought was good considering that it'll be a trade in.
So my question is would it be worth selling my golf as is with all the parts that I have retrofitted

Or put it back to standard as such.
I would like to sell it as is because I think it would make someone a really good car.
What's your guys opinions.
Cheers Dan

Don't borrow money to get a car
Don't go down to one car , it won't work .
You appear to have two great cars as it is
Stay as you are :innocent:

keep yours Dan

^^^^ What they say! :happy2:
But when you start to get that itch..........

I'm not 100% that I want to but, I only use mine to go to Aberdeen once a month so put a grand total of 600mile a month hers gets used for the school run when I'm at work and when I'm home we use her car. She won't drive a manual ether.
If I did sell would it be worth selling it as is with out the stereo lol.
I've had mine now for 3 yr and We haven't found the right car yet anyway.
Cheers Dan

think you have answered your own question by saying your not sure you want to sell...If you have one car would you get a lift up to aberdeen

My company are going to pay for flights now...... :happy2:
So win win to be honest.

Think how much entertainment that car has given you and the new items it's forced you to learn.
Now,when it's down to one car and you want to mod it,she'll say I'm using it or the WHY question!
Keep your own motor and you've got freedom. :pomppomp:

Keep yours Dan as females don't know how to share. :signLOL:

I was in a similar situation to you as I fly to work, not commute by car.
I did a lot to my GT TDI but punted it for the ED30 as I did 3k in the last year of ownership in it.
People used to say to me to go down to one car, would not work for me personally. There will be occasions you can't get the flight (weather).

Maybe you have a point there lads....lol
Woman don't share ether plus driving a automatic all the time......... :surprised:

Seriously?? I wouldn't share a car with my girlfriend at any price.
Every nook and cranny is chock full; tissues, mints, old magazines, mysterious cables, survival blankets, 17 cloths/sponges (in case the windows steam up... it's got air con ), the radio presets are all tuned to garbage stations, and for some reason there has to be a pair of 'driving shoes' rattling around in the drivers footwell. Every time I get in I have to adjust the seat and all the mirrors (fair enough) and there's never any petrol in it.
If we were officially sharing it would be even worse as all the cleaning, problems, maintenance and sorting out the MOT/insurance would become 'my job', and as for mods?... forget about it.
Honestly, I'd rather go back to using a horse. :rolleye:
Rich.

There's a man who knows the score!
By the way that "always empty when you get in it and just has enough left in to make it to a fuel station" has been past down between the female race,as my mother used to love doing it!

Same as above
The reason I bort my MK5 GTi just before Xmas is coz wife wanted to get insured on my Audi S3 8L so she could drive it too :-I
In the end we came to en agreement that she would by the car off me and I buy myself another 1 which was a good deal as I would have my own freedom and keep it the way I wanted i.e 'clean' lol
The only thinh was that i bort it on HP so I 'borrowed' :-) but not end of the world if you ask me hehe

i think if you're getting your transport paid for to work, you use her car when you are home then 2 cars isn't much point. wasting money on MOT, Car Tax, insurance. if its sitting in the drive/garage. makes sense to get the 1 car, you'll be better off i think.
nice car btw

Keep her car, buy yourself an 07 plate S3 (or ed30) we went down the same road
I would never trade 2 for 1 to share, unless you can walk to work
-
Well lads I've decided that i'm going to sell the car :surprised:, sell it as is too. Really fancy an S3
Seem's pointless in keeping it as i'm now flying to work................ :happy2:
Cheers Dan
