Title: Alarm beep / dip mirror reversing

When I had a tt I got the alarm to beep when locked/unlocked via Vag Com, can the same be done on gti mk5?
Also, how do I get the passenger mirror to dip when reverse engaged please? Car has winter and convieniance pack so should do but doesn't for some reason.

Yes to the alarm chirp in VCDS, assuming your alarm siren hasn't died.

The procedure for resetting the mirror dip is in the handbook, it also has to have the switch in the L position to work. It needs reset after every flat/disconnected battery too.

Dipping mirror only came from 57 onward and with rear parking sensors or folding mirrors, your packs dont include this, but hopefully you have either of the other 2 things I said

I have mirror dip in reverse on my 56 plate, unless you mean it came as part of that pack from 57 on?

Well im quite surprised at that , could someone have retrofitted it to the car ?

But of course I could be wrong lol

My previous GT TDI 170 2006 reg also had it.
