Hello all!
I'm looking at a set of new wheels for my candy white gti. But I don't want any issues with rubbing on lock or going over bumps.
At the moment it's standard ride height but within the next few weeks it will have a set of eibachs on.. So this is will be 20mm? Lower.
I'm looking at a set of 18" wheels 8.5j width with et 45
Also can get the same wheels.. With a 9.5j width with a offset of et 40 for the rears only...
Can I use the 9.5j rears with 225 40 18" tyres? And also will they rub? Ideally I would prefer the 8.5j all round if it's going to cause any issues with rubbing as I use it daily and can not stand rubbing as I normally have to carry a full car load
Thanks in advance!

I ran 18x8 et45 on front and 18x9 et45 rears. Had no problems with 225s and just lowering springs
