Title: People who retrofitted xenons..what was your choice of bulb?

Post by: N8KOW on January 16, 2014, 10:49:34 pm: When I facelifted my A3, I got D2S bulbs from HIDSdirect.co.uk exactly the same as OEM Audi bulbs but cost me £40 instead of £300, there is somewhere I've found £80 for the Phillips bulbs, I'd have to dig it out.

Post by: will_15 on January 17, 2014, 12:13:53 pm: I got a 35w 4300 H7 kit from HIDsdirect and it was cack and never really worked properly, swapped it out for a 35w 5000 H7 kit from HIDS4U which has been spot on. Mounted the ballast to the side of the back of the headlamp unit (I would have put it under where it should go, but ballast was too big). This is with Depo projecter lights so plug and play for H7's. Matched with OEM style W5W normal Osram sidelight bulbs to look as OEM as possible.
