Fitting my springs today, rear was a doddle done in 15 mins, moving on to the front the three bots holding the strut at the top are spinning and have broke free from the mount, is there anyway to remove these apart from using a angle grinder
-
No
-
any help on this would be appreciated
-
Just been doing the same job on mine and noticed that the top mount has nuts underneath so if yours is spinning then it may have broken loose from the mount.
It looks like a 13mm
Have a look under the wheel arch up into the top mount area and you'll se what I mean.

yeah seen that cant get a socket on to it and not holding vice grips either
-
Told you, grinder, nut splitter, or hammer & chisel.
-
I used a hacksaw on one of my bolts, the other stuck one I managed to get vice grips from underneath. A 13mm socket won't fit as they're a sort of oval nut.

This happened to me. There are a few ways to go about it. I personally tried avoiding doing any damage to the paint. I positioned the hacksaw blade underneath the head of the bolt and spun it with an impact gun (or drill) until the blade cut through. Problem solved. No paint on the struts was harmed in the process.
