Car: MK5 GTi 2008
Mileage: 27K
Am I correct in saying the Milltek downpipe and de-cat will fit to the stock exhaust?
I am not interested in adding additional noise or looks so have excluded a full exhaust. What Stage do you think the below mods would be considered and could I add anything else to benefit the performance? A high pressure fuel pump? A new clutch will be added at some point in the near future.
R-Tech remap
K&N panel filter (or should I go CAI?)
Milltek downpipe de-cat
GFB DV+
Cam follower replacement kit? Though my car has only done 27K.

You will need a reducer as the Milltek is wider than the OEM cat back. Pipewerx sell down pipes which fits OEM cat back
Google them, or try ebay :happy2: quality looks great and it's cheaper than Milltek too
If you had an intake and a fuel pump that gives you Stage 2+ level of power. Nick will tweak your map if you want to go back with more mods at a later date.

Am sure I've read that for the k03 cars you don't really need a upgraded fuel pump which when you think about it makes sense as the k04 cars don't need it till going stage 2+ and at this time will be running 350 bhp where as the gti will be about 280?? I may well be wrong but it's just a debate I read on r tech's Facebook page

When I had the ed30 I fitted a milltek sportscat mated to the oem backbox,u will need a reducer mate..

Just need a redcucer, think i have a spare one that came with my Miltek kit if you want me to have a look in the garage :happy2:

Thanks for the offer, though I just bought a turbo back from campbell511 with everything I need. :happy2:

In regards to fuel pump, I think ed30 engine may have different cam lobe to drive the pump, therefore giving pressure to about 340hp.

Does anybody know when or if the standard catback would be a restriction?
For example, would you need a full turboback on a k04 stage map?
