Hi guys, ive got an issue with my fuel pump that i just need some help with as i cant seem to find a difinitave answer after hours of googling and searching this forum, i have an 05 AXX engined GTI and the sensor on top of my HPFP has cracked, i believe this cannot be changed when cracked and would require a new fuel pump which is a major bummer! Can anyone confirrm if this is correct or not? Also when looking for the pump it seems as though the pump i have currently (06f 127 025 b) doesnt seem to be avaliable anywhere although there are various other pumps with the same part number just different lettering at the end which makes me believe its a revised part just like rev d & g diverter valves, my question is, will all the revised pumps fit an AXX engine as i know i have the banjo bolt fitting and i wasnt sure if its the same pump for the other engine codes but with an adapter maybe? Would 06f 127 025 f fit my car?
If anyone could help me out it would be very much appreciated!

You are correct, the plastic top part isn't sold separately so a new pump is needed.
A newer pump will work with your engine although you may have to change the brass connector if it's the later bamboo fitting by swapping it out for the banjo fitment on your present pump. The brass fitment just screws into the pump.

Ah right so you can simply remove the fitting to suit my banjo bolt, thats a bit better news then i suppose means i should be able to get one fairly easy.
You my friend are a gent! Thanks!
