Title: where to buy Single mass flywheel?
Post by: D8MOA on January 19, 2014, 10:29:24 pm
covered many time before i know ( have done a search but posts from 2008/09 so things may have changed?)

i had my ed30 mapped last Thursday and now have a buggered clutch

i was thinking SMF but where to buy one from? i.e sachs or luk etc

and was thinking a helix clutch

is a smf and a helix clutch a good option for my 303bhp car?

I'm not a fan of these after using a few of them.  Hard to change gear at high rpm. Lobas customer support is dire.

:happy2: What would be the best buy at the moment ?

Single mass stuff would be the full Helix kit at around £900, or I can do forum deals on the DMF with Helix drive and cover still.

Helix are finally making my twin plate kit  :happy2:

I have 3 cars, all with the same shifting issue.  Two cars are however fine.  Just cant risk fitting them anymore.

Loba = Sachs with a sticker!

Main issue I have had with Helix has been supply.  I sell more than they can make.

Now I have found the best master cylinder solution, that issue is a thing of the past.

I had a call from Helix on Friday.  They are hopefully making my 228mm organic twin plate over the next week or so.  You want me to order a second one for you?  :happy2:

without using my WOT box i'm not able to shift at high rpm, also fast shifting is not possible as well at high rpm. The clutch gets sucked onto the smf. Fuscobal has had similar issues with his sachs smf solution
