Title: Help with wheels please....
Post by: c8dgy on January 21, 2014, 12:48:24 pm
Right after plenty or research I've found some.wheels I want.

There are 18 x 9 ET52  CB 57.1 so I know they will fit ok with a 215 35 18 tyre..

but can anyone tell me if they will clear standard brake calipers also I carnt seem to find anything on them.

The wheels are the Audi TTRS s line speedlines as below..

eBay item number 251423174117

help would be greatly appreciated...

Paul

people have run them before there is someone on here but i can't remember his name

personally i prefer the rears to poke more so i would go for a bigger spacer out back but I'm not sure if its neccesary  :happy2:

but the 215/35/18 is the size id go for

Last question running a 10 mm spacer do I need longer bolts?

Cheers again

Yes you will need longer wheel bolts when using spacers so if your using a 10mm spacer you will need 38mm spacers as stock size is 28mm

Just to back up what Jaffa said, you definitely need longer wheel bolts if you're using the shim type spacers.

I bought some 5mm spacers and thought I could get away with my old bolts but unfortunately the wheel ended up falling off. Luckily it was at a very low speed approaching some traffic lights. It could have done it whilst I was on the motorway which would have ended badly.
