My k04'd vRS Octavia has developed a very bad misfire in the last few days, at first I noticed a slight hesitation, then it became much more noticeable.
I removed the coil packs and plugs, there was oil down some of the coil packs and on some of the plugs, I replaced the rocker cover gasket and also put in some new plugs, this still hasn't solved anything, I also swapped around the coil packs and tried a new one in to see if it made any difference, but it hasn't.
I'm not driving the car at the moment until this is sorted.
Here's a printout of the faults from the scan which hadn't been reset in a few days.

Would the PCV cause any of these problems or any suggestions?
-
Looks like a fuel supply problem from the fault codes?
-
Injectors ? Is it worth trying some injector cleaner ?
-
Is the missfire underload?
Is there any missfires at idle?
-
Thanks lads, yeah the car is misfiring at idle
-
It could be many things causing this issue.
Injector, vacuum leak, maf sensor etc
I had a car in couple of weeks ago, same symptoms after checking everything we found there was very little compression on one of the cylinders.
It turned out the piston on that cylinder had a small crack/chip.
That car also had fuel pressure/level, missifre and MAF fault codes
I would carry out a compression test and see how you get on,

Just to update this for anyone who may experience the same problem, got my car back a few day's ago.
After trying new coil pack's, new plugs, new PCV, replacing the rocker cover gasket as there was a slight amount of oil down one of the coil packs, cleaning the ports on the intake manifold, it was finally diagnosed as a blocked injector.
Fitted a new S3 injector and now running perfect again. I might pick up a set of S3 injector's in case the same thing happens again, the current one's have almost 230k kms up on them, so not bad going!!

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. Changed absolutely everything then got to the injectors. 2 of mine were knackered.
