Post by: dmac1969 on January 27, 2014, 08:18:36 pm
Just waiting for the plate transfer to go through then I can bring it home - 2009/58 , 3 door , DPB , Manual , Leather , Winterpack , RCD 500 , Ameranths , 32000 miles. Should be good , thought if I dont buy one now I'll never get one.

Very nice mate you won't regret buying it, what you will regret is the 475 quid tax every year ;-)

Enjoy your purchase

Lovely.

I did a course recently and a lad had a 3dr DPB - I spent all my time looking at the R32, he spent all his time looking at the Eddy.
I should really get one before they are all completely molested.

Looks a cracker,I honestly believe every lover of driving should have had the experience of extra cylinders in their life.

Welcome to the dark side   Really like this colour, really stands out in the flesh. Saw a dbp last week in London, when they are all polished up they turn heads!! The V6 noise is unescapable, you wont ever want to part with it.  :driver:

Followed a DBP one the other day and all the wife and I said was how much we'd love one, pretty much think I'd cope with the fuel bill as it'd only do 5-6k miles a year max but couldn't bring myself to pay £475 a year in tax....just couldn't and the 05/55 plates are very hard to come across.

How you finding the R32 in comparision to a GTI? Is the real world running cost much higher?  I have always been tempted to do this swap myself!

Not got it yet mate , still waiting on the plate transfer and in answer to the question on the first page , aye its from GTI World in Edinburgh. Ive had V6s before just not Golfs , I ran a 2.8i Capri and a 280 Brooklands for years in the 90s....
