anyone come across this problem, it may be a coincidence, but since fitting an induction kit the car is down on power. after a scan I fitted a dv (old one was fine), scanned again same faults, so fitted n75 valve, scanned again same faults. is it possible the maf is faulty although I was careful removing and refitting it, logged boost, and actual was lower than requested. cheers

Not trying to be funny but did you clear the fault codes before rescanning after a short drive?
The old fault codes will remain otherwise when you rescan.
-
Yes every time
-
I would refit the oe intake and see if the fault is still there. Also when fitting the maf, is the little rubber seal fitted that voes betewwn the maf and the intake pipe?
I was not impressed with the intake kits for the tfsi so I ran the oe intake with paper filter at stage 2+ and the car ran fine with no issues.
-
I tried it with the original airbox, and checked the maf seal, but still the same. Cheers
-
p0299 is underboost code check for boost leaks (most likely if you've messed around with intake) or dv again..
-
I have boost hoses on order, and will do leak test on hoses asap, cheers
-
Well have fitted new intercooler hoses, smoke leak test, everything seems ok, what I did notice is wastegate actuator is hard to move, can anyone confirm if you should be able to move thisback and forward simply using a finger and thumb, cheers
-
Anyone?
-
Anyone?
-
That to me seems normal. The actuator will be stiff as it has to keep the wastegate shut under pressure. If it wasn't working and not working; the turbo would over spool and you would be up on power and would eventually go bang.
-
Could it be collapsed cat or exhaust baffle?
-
Finally found out what was causing lack of power, I thought it was a blocked cat or exhaust, so after fitting new exhaust system today I took it for a run, jeez its like driving another car, goes like a rocket

Did you originally have a stock exhaust system?
-
Yes, stock system
