Title: gti muffler delete, sound at WOT

Just removed my muffler in preparation for a custom R32 style exhaust i am fitting,  i took the car for a test drive to see roughly how much louder it is with the silencer removed, it sounds much better! What i was wondering is that when i give it some it makes a sort of sucking, whooshing sound, hard to explain, this happens at the high revs. Is this normal?
