Hi all,
This morning my car was running like it was about to run our of fuel. Filled up at shell and when I left intermittently wouldn't rev past around 3500-4000 it was juddering and I must have looked like a descendant of a kangaroo :)
Bit of spec on the car
2005 GTI
DV replaced
PCV replaced with a catch can system
Twintake air intake system
Front mount Twintercooler
Recently replaced the cam follower
around 8000 miles ago the plugs and all 4 coils were replaced
And a regular oil and filter change.
And just to help no warning lights flash up at all during any if it.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just to be clear, did this start happening after you refuelled?
-
Yeah but it has happened very occasionally before and then cleared up and wouldn't do it again for ages.
I used shell v power. I could also hear the exhaust popping a bit when I let off the accelerator which it hasn't done before, It's a totally standard exhaust system.
Wasn't sure whether it could be an injector issue?

Have you changed the fuel filter, as if that's blocked it would cause running issues. Id also get is scanned to see if its raised any fault codes.

I've got a spare injector from a 2005 GTI. Yours for £15 delivered :happy2:

Thanks for the replies, I've already got a fuel filter but never got round to fitting it so think that will be the first thing to do :)

The catch can... tell us more. Have you emptied it recently?
-
Yeah it was emptied couple of weeks ago and is no where near the full mark yet
