Title: Koni STR.T shocks and H&R spring kit
Post by: Stu-ED30 on January 29, 2014, 10:43:27 pm
Hi there, I'm looking to sort out the suspension on my Golf as currently its very crashy and harsh at low speeds. The current set up is VWR Springs -20mm , standard front shocks and FK rear shocks which are pumped and knocking there pan in. Also all the bump stops are chopped.

I want mainly want it to be comfortable but sporty when needed. I hate crashy, rough suspension. Most people will say go for the Bilstein B12 kit but at the minute I can't afford the 700-800 quid for the kit.

Has anyone tried the Koni STR.T shocks with H&R spring kits? Any reviews handy?

Cheers

You don't need the whole Bilstein B12 kit which consists of the B8 dampers and Eibach springs. Just buy the B8 dampers separately and use the VWR springs that you already have.

Ended up going for the Koni STR.T kit from www.Larkspeed.com so hopefully get them fitted and do my own review in the next couple of weeks.

Absolutely buzzing :happy2:

There have been a few STR.T reviews here. Their users enjoy them for a balance of comfort and performance.
I have Bilstein B8's giving up just a bit of comfort for more extreme control.
