i get terrible wheel tramp is there anyway to cure or make it better? if i actually got wheel spin it wouldn't be so bad but the wheel tramp is a joke!
i have goodyear eagle f1's and don't put my foot down until i'm in 2nd or 3rd gear and i dont just stick the pedal to the floor! i am stage 1 with just over 300bhp

Yep WALK or SALK will help along with updated engine mounts
-
Nothing fully gets rid of it.
Best things that help are the Superpro Alk and Vibratechnics engine mounts.

I may as well set up an account with you alex haha

Turning the esp off helps too.

You could also go for S3 control arms, these are still fitted with rubber bushes and there's a bit of weight saving too.
You can change the engine mounts but they do increase NVH.
How much tread have you got left on the Eagle F1's? I noticed they deteriorated a lot below 3mm depth which seems a sensible depth to replace them.

brand new tyres with 7mm mate.. what is NVH?

NVH or Noise, Vibration and Harshness.
I didn't notice any of these to be honest when i had the Vibra Technics Lower mount and dog born bush installed. Get them done and an anti lift kit, good place to start.

ahh great.... im sure that will compliment my clutch rattle nicely haha
what is the dog bone bush? i am looking at the VT lower mount bush kit at £130ish
-
dont worry just looked on awsome and found it.... i thought they was a solid bush anyway?
-
I changed my engine mounts and it was better straight away, little more vibration on idle but not so much.
I am about to fit new poly bushes in the dogbone (lower gearbox mount) and getting WALK and front wishbone poly bushes aswelk to minimize wheel hop...
I could not be worse at least..
I am currently on stage 2+ with my ED30...

Have a look in my Build thread (page 1) and the info on the Vibra-Technics Dog Bone bush is in there. :happy2:

Mate, I never had a problem with wheel tramp at 300bhp after switching to Bridgestone RE050A fronts. On the Conti's that were on when I bought the car it would tramp like b'stard.

I'm dealing with the same issue now.

Did you have your tracking adjusted when you changed? I know grip and loss of grip has a major part to play.
-
I read somewhere today that reducing rotational mass can help. Reduces a wheels tendency to bounce apparently. That means light weight wheels may help. There are other good reasons to have light weight wheels too, but that's for another thread probably. A wheel that's 4kg lighter may have a positive impact. OZ Alleggerita are my choice at present. I have s3 lower arms With WALK but the front bush is still OE. These arms were bought new so the front bush is new but probably not as effective as the WALK bushing at restraining the arm under heavy load. I'm feeling that I may get it changed for a poly bush of one sort or another shortly.
Interestingly I am also running Goodyear F1's

No, just a rubber swap. Like night and day :happy2:

Might not be relevant but in my ST changing to hardrace bushes and vibratechnmounts cure almost all wheel tramp issues. Did have quite a lot of vibration through the gear box though.

Very relevant! :happy2:
It confirms the approach to dealing with it works across brands and platforms so the methodology is sound at least.
Interesting point raised about tyres also. Goodyear F1's nay be an excellent all rounder but there are sharper handling tyres with more dry grip available that aren't necessarily track specific.
