Guys I am only getting audio out of the left hand side when playing my iPod through the MDI. All other outputs are fine (DAB/FM/CD/SD) and can't honestly say whether this is a recent thing after fitting my RNS or if it was present after I initially fitted the MDI, as I never checked or changed the balance and fader.
I got a very quiet level of audio combined with distortion through the right hand side and it appears from google, I am not alone. Is the box knackered or is this a cable issue?

have you got a phone kit?
-
Yeah I've got a Fiscon Basic Plus Ed.

Sorted. Took everything apart and connected the MDI only and it worked fine. Put the Fiscon back in (in a different order) and the problem switched to the right.
Thought FFS, what's going on here and connected it back up again with the Fiscon in the original place and it all seems to work fine. Happy days.

Glad you got it working
Fiscon can cause funny things to happen at times
Unplugging it normally fixes them though

I'm fairly certain it had been absoutely fine since it was fitted - the order of the kit going in went
RCD510DAB > Fiscon > MDI > RNS510DAB (replaced RCD) and I wonder if something had gone on the fritz at that stage.
I noticed that when I reconnected it all, I'd lost Fiscon and Nav from my Maxidot menu. Rebooting the Columbus brought back the nav and then the next time I started the car, the Fiscon menu came back, so happy for now.

It probably is fine
Like I said the fiscon can have the odd glitch
like not displaying in the highline etc
