Title: Options/Advice on brakes, tyres and new alloys!?
Post by: edition30jmr on February 05, 2014, 10:58:28 pm
Hi guys any advice would be brilliant, basically I'm due 4 new tyres and don't know which to go for, currently i have Conti Compact Sport 5's and they seem good in the wet and dry, agreed? any opinions on which tyres are best?

Also my Pescaras are looking a bit tatty now and could do with a refurb! I'm not sure whether to get them refurb'd or buy some new BBS VZ's and put the new tyres on those and keep my current pescaras for winter wheels etc, what are your opinions? I've heard that the original silver Pescara colour is hard to match?

Also i think I'm going to change all disks and pads, what are some good options to go for the Eddy is currently standard but i plan to go stage 1 in summer (hopefully R-Tech)

Thanks Guys!

Thanks mate, I'm looking to buy new alloys and tyres together, how good are conti sport contact 5's? As I've heard mixed reviews about them wearing fast etc, are michellin better?

Thanks

I'm on contisportcontact 5's and they are excellent. Stopping distance is very good, slow wear so far, fair bit of road noise but no louder than the others IMO.

I've had michelins, yokos and Toyo proxies in the past. And the michelins / toyos compare well to the contis.
