Hi everyone!
I recently got a manual 6 speed 60 plate MK6 1.4 Tsi with 51k miles.
Compared to my old MK5 1.4 , the mk6 is a lot stiffer to put into gears both cold and after a long drive too? Engages them all and drives fine and clutch is also fine, no weird noises.
Just given it a major service so its all happy in that department.
Could it be the gearbox cables/linkages needing adjusting/lubrication or the gearbox fluid needing changing?
All help very much appreciated!
Thanks, Omar

Just worn bushes then? Hmm
Is there a link/thread to go with this? Cheers

Just went to the dealers and they say the gearbox is fine. Though I would before I went adjusting linkages and changing transmission oils.
Went for a road test with me and said its going to be totally different compared to my 5speed mk5 one. Said my MK6 6 speed box is more heavy duty to cope with extra power and is meant to feel more direct!
Guess I just need to get used to it!! Thanks for the help anyway
