Title: brake pedal goes hard randomly.
Post by: reaper7881 on February 13, 2014, 10:12:35 am
The problem is that randomly the pedal goes rock solid, when im driving along is only done it 2/3 times now

If I pump the brakes when the cars off then start the car it goes down a little

And if I'm driving along and press the brakes more than 4 times,( on off on off)  it goes hard and doesn't really slow the car down

What's up with it?

Thanks

Could be worth bleeding the system to rule out air in the fluid.

Not sure mate but first thing if check is fluid levels check for air in system as above and all vac pipes etc

Has the brake fluid gone down significantly?

vac pipe split, need to check them all carefully. Bloke at work had same thing last week.
cheapest place to start looking anyway.
